Ornamental Backyard Makeover
This backyard makeover has evolved over time. In 2000, the entire backyard was overhauled with pavers and a new spa—a blue/grey gazebo to match the patio scheme. Next, I created an English scheme with plenty of roses, along with Foxgloves, Iceland Poppies, Asters and Delphiniums. I also redesigned the side yard with a small Cherub fountain to add charm and ambience. In 2008, I designed a new lattice-style garden gate to make the entrance inviting. An entire new fenceline along the sideyard both increased the view and the value of the home. Finally, a new sunny Ornamental border scheme brightens up the fenceline. In the shaded border, some exciting perennials (Purple Dragon Lamium, Asters, Delphiniums) combine with a bright Clematis vine and climbing roses.
