Jeannette Tollstrup has been designing gardens informally for over 10 years in California. She conceived of The Artful Garden in 2002, when she found herself consulting on garden makeovers for friends. Business opportunities followed and Jeannette continues to transform landscapes here on the Peninsula, using her unique design approach.

Her philosophy is simple: "To design gardens which are colorful, tranquil and sustainable in your environment. I’ll help you overcome what I call the "trial and error" garden approach. You’ll get the plants you love and the plants that love your yard! At the end of the day, you’ll come home to a well-designed, serene new garden to relax in."

Jeannette holds a B.A. degree in Communications and is currently continuing her education in the green industry, learning about sustainability and new environmental practices.
